The $500 Cintiq?

Chad Essley’s TabletPC SketchBlog recently mentioned a product by KDS called the Visboard Tablet Monitor. With its 19″ and 21″ size options and 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, it seems to compete okay against the more popular Wacom Cintiq. One major drawback for me, however, is that it seems to only have a Windows driver available. But for some artists that may not be an issue, and at a little over $500, this might be a good alternative to the $2500 Cintiq.

Of course, this all depends on how the product performs in the real world. Chad hopes to test out the product in person and give a full review soon. Stay tuned…
