There’s a nice long and detailed review for the Wacom Cintiq 12WX over on FreelanceSwitch. I like the story about wiping away imaginary eraser bits. Glad I’m not the only digital painter with weird habits like that.

I’m thinking of upgrading my hardware soon to Wacom’s Cintiq tablet. I see a lot of professional artists go for the 21UX model for its superior screen size. The recently introduced 12WX also gets a lot of press for its cheaper price and portability factor. However, I rarely hear about the middle child, the 20WSX.

Following on the heels of Apple’s introduction of their new Macbooks, Axiotron has updated their Modbook models to reflect the new changes. You can now get a Modbook with up to a 2.4 GHz processor. OWC, the exclusive provider for the Modbook in the U.S., has updated their website to reflect the changes.

Scott from the Modbook Forum just received his Modbook. And it only took 398 days!
Apparently it was worth the wait, and he has posted an extensive review. Also keep an eye on his YouTube account for future videos of the Modbook in action.

Reader Patrick just sent me an email letting me know about this post on story artist Louie del Carmen’s blog at randomanomalies.blogspot.com. He just received his Modbook and documented the entire un-boxing process.
